Faraday: Therapy Notes
A documentation aid for licensed clinicians. It records a session, transcribes it on your device and drafts a progress note for you to edit.
It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, does not assess risk, and does not recommend treatment. It does not replace your clinical judgement, your supervision, or your professional obligations.
Every note Faraday produces is a draft. It can misattribute who was speaking, and it cannot tell when it has. It can misread a word. Read every draft against the session before it becomes part of a clinical record. Once you file it, it is your note.
You are responsible for obtaining your client's informed consent before recording, and for complying with the recording laws where you practise — which in some places make recording without every party's agreement a criminal offence. Faraday provides a consent form as a convenience; it is a starting point, not legal advice, and not a substitute for your licensing board's guidance.
Notes live on your device and nowhere else. There is no backup, no sync and no copy held by anyone else. If you lose the device or delete the app, the notes are gone. Keeping records for the period your profession requires is your responsibility.
Five notes are free. A subscription covers unlimited notes and renews until cancelled; cancel any time in your Apple Account settings. Payment is handled by Apple under their terms.
Faraday is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, there is no warranty that a draft will be accurate, complete or fit for any particular purpose, and no liability for what is done with one.
