Faraday: Therapy Notes

iPhone 15 Pro or later with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings. The on-device language model is what drafts your note, and older devices do not have it.
Apple's on-device speech model covers 30 languages. Choose yours before you record, in Settings → Session language. If you speak a language it does not cover, the transcript comes back as confident nonsense — so Faraday checks how well it understood the recording and refuses to write a note rather than inventing one.
That is deliberate. Faraday discards any statement it cannot trace back to the recording, and writes "Not documented this session" rather than filling a section with something plausible. Open What Faraday heard to see the transcript — if the words are wrong, the language setting or the microphone position is usually why. A phone on the desk between you works better than one in a pocket.
Faraday guesses who was speaking from the sound of the voices, and it cannot tell when it has got this wrong — so it asks you to confirm before attributing anything. Tap any line to change who said it, or choose I can't tell and the note will be written without naming anyone.
Deleted. The audio is removed the moment the transcript is made. The safest recording of a therapy session is one that no longer exists.
Recording resumes when the microphone comes back, and Faraday tells you a gap exists. It cannot know what was said during the gap, so check the note against your memory of that stretch.
Five notes are free. After that a subscription covers unlimited notes — there is no per-session charge, because a note costs nothing to produce on your own phone. Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Restore a previous purchase in Faraday's Settings.
Read it. Faraday drafts; you decide. A draft is not a clinical record until a clinician has read it and signed off.
