Session notes that never leave the room

Faraday records the session, transcribes it and drafts your note — entirely on your own device. No account. No server. Nobody else ever receives it.

iPhone and Mac · one subscription covers both

What the others do with your session

Most AI scribes are an interface. Behind them the session audio goes to a transcription company, the transcript goes to an AI company, and the note comes back through an EHR. Three or four vendors touch the hour your client spent telling you something they have told no one else.

Faraday touches none. Recording, transcription and drafting all run on your Mac or iPhone using Apple's on-device speech and language models. There is no third party that receives protected health information — which is why there is no business associate agreement for you to review.

Don't take our word for it

Every other claim on this page is something you have to believe. These two you can settle yourself, in a minute, without us.

Turn on Airplane Mode and run a whole session. Record it, transcribe it, draft the note, read the transcript, export the PDF. All of it works, because none of it was going anywhere. An app that sends your sessions to a server cannot survive that test, and no amount of privacy copy changes that.

On a Mac, read the signature. Faraday's sandbox holds no network entitlement at all, which means the app cannot open a socket — not to us, not to anyone. macOS enforces that, not our good intentions:

codesign -d --entitlements - /Applications/Faraday.app

You will see the sandbox and the microphone, and nothing else. Subscriptions still work, because the App Store does that talking on the app's behalf rather than through it — and what the App Store learns is that somebody paid, nothing more. There is no account, no analytics, and no billing vendor in between.

What it does

What it won't do

Faraday drafts; you decide. In an in-person session it sometimes mistakes who was speaking and cannot tell when it has — so it asks you to confirm before attributing anything to your client. It leaves a section empty rather than filling it with something plausible.

Read every draft before it becomes a record. And obtaining your client's consent, and complying with the recording law where you practise, remain yours.

Where to get it

One listing, one purchase, both machines. Buy it on either and it works on the other, because the App Store tells each device what you own. Nothing about that goes through us — there is no account to make and no server to sign in to.

Five notes are free. After that it is $14.99 a month or $99.00 a year, with a free week on the yearly plan.

On iPhone you record the session in the room. On the Mac you can also record a video session, where your microphone and the call's audio are captured separately, so Faraday always knows which of you spoke.

iPhone 15 Pro or later, or a Mac with Apple silicon, running iOS 26 or macOS 26. Drafting needs Apple Intelligence; without it Faraday still transcribes the session and records risk verbatim.
